High Emperor Scion, Shield Bearer

The crimson sigil of High Emperor Scion IV, a dragon tooth through a heart, pulsed with a never-ending fire beneath the throne rooms marble floor. The castle reminded Saturion faintly of Athromark’s in Arcania and he wondered how much these two dimensions had in common. “Your majesties,” Saturion said. He bowed until his nose touched the floor. Four pedestals rose from the marble upon which four emperors sat, staggered in height according to place in the line of succession. On the tallest pedestal, high above all the rest, sat Emperor Scion, a shield on his arm. A Dragon Shield. “Rise,” he said. Saturion did so, smiling.
